My name is Roni Hewett, and I was born and raised here in the Valley on my family’s farm and vineyard. I graduated from Clarkson High School in 2011, then attended college at Chaminade University of Honolulu on a soccer and tennis scholarship and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology. I then went on to further schooling in Arizona where I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. I have continued to advance my professional career and I am board certified in Orthopedic Rehabilitation as well as certified in Vestibular Rehab and Concussion Management and Integrative Dry Needling at S.P.O.R.T. Physical Therapy.
I have always been passionate about women’s health and fell in love with the LILI GC Foundation and their commitment to support women in their health and wellness journey, making sure they have access to every resource available to them as they battle these cancers. I am most excited about our future work with these women and my ability to help with their activity goals by improving their functional mobility and restoring fitness and wellness into their lives.

Namesake
Liliana Saunero-Nava
My name is Liliana C. Saunero-Nava, M.D. I was born and raised in La Paz, Bolivia. In 1987 I graduated from Universidad Mayor de San Andrés Medical School in La Paz.
In June of 1988 I emigrated to the United States after I saw a woman driving an eighteen-wheel truck on the highways of Pennsylvania! After fulfilling the requirements to validate my medical degree in the U.S., I completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Texas Tech Medical Science Center.
On New Year’s Eve of 1994 I meet the most loyal, kind, talented and caring man, his name is Charles M. Duppong. We have been married for 27 years and get to worship together, garden together, listen and appreciate music together. We both love depression glass, antiquing and trains. We have a wonderful son, Felix, who every day fills our hearts with joy.
From an early age I learned about advocating and caring for the sick and less fortunate by the example of my parents (an OB-Gyn physician and Registered Nurse). My 33-year career in medicine perpetuated this work/life philosophy until the side effects of chemotherapy forced me to retire.
Now with the grace of God, with immense honor and gratitude, I get to apply this philosophy not just with the provider point of view, but also with the patient’s.
